Third July Square & Magic Loop Love

I wanted to try magic loop. It was not as easy as I thought it would be, but I am making progress. Perhaps next time I can do two socks at once?

I also tried toe-up, but I could not figure it out... maybe next time.

Magic Loop attempt #1 with "Apple Harvest" Superwash Merino
by Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye, from Hanks Yarn & Fiber.
I finally settled on the pattern Dancing Bamboo Socks from the book Pints & Purls. The decision was based on a lack of printer ink.

Third time is a charm. Finally I figured out this pattern.

The Goal... 1st soaker coming along well!
Originally I thought this might be considered a gender neutral color,
but now I think its on the girly side. Although a very liberal mom might disagree with me, I dont think I would make my son wear it.
What do you think?

I'm going to try Magic Loop method when I get finished with my first pair of sock on DPNs. I wish knitting came naturally to me like it does to you, I feel like I really have to work at it.

Hard work pays off. I dont think it would come quite so easy had I not been a crochet freak first. In my opinion knitting is more difficult.
I cant wait to see your socks, I love that pink!
